PETROFUND: Building Local Skills and Empowering Suppliers in Namibia's Oil and Gas Sector

The core purpose of PETROFUND's initiatives in skills development and partnerships is to:

Key Initiatives and Partnerships:

• FirstRand Namibia Partnership: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with FirstRand Namibia to co-sponsor initiatives focused on capacity building, training, and strengthening local supplier capabilities.
• Support for NUST: PETROFUND actively supports training programs at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), including the specialized TechnipFMC Oil and Gas Subsea Engineering Programme.
• Specialized Overseas Training: To further enhance local expertise, PETROFUND facilitates specialized training for candidates in international locations, such as Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) training in Malaysia.
